Immaculate Conception

Why can't people understand Mary is the Immaculate Conception, and Jesus is the Incarnation?

I just was reading a book review which talks about a new book on Mary and Joseph and how they handled the Immaculate Conception? !?!?!?!

hmmm...shouldn't the book be about Ann and Joachim and how they handled the Immaculate Conception?
